Stones Throw Farm's CSA
Welcome to the 2013 Stones Throw Farm CSA Program!!
We truly appreciate the support and dedication of our CSA members and take a great deal of pride in providing them with high quality produce and a good value. The 2013 CSA season will continue to deliver the quality, experience and value that our members have come to know and expect.
The 2013 CSA program will run for 20 consecutive weeks beginning on Saturday June 15th or Tuesday June 18th and running through the last week of October. CSA shares are picked up at the farm on either Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings. Our share price for 2013 is $600.
We grow a diverse mix of crops throughout the season and provide bountiful and well-rounded shares. All produce supplied through our CSA program is grown here on our farm according to the principles and practices set forth by the Northeast Organic Farmers Association – Farmers Pledge program. Items included in your share will be picked, washed and sorted for your selection.
It is possible for you to be in and out on pickup days in a very short period of time. However, we also invite you to stretch your legs and take a look around each week; kids are always welcome as long as they are supervised. At times throughout the season there will be additional items available to CSA members on a “you-pick” basis at no additional charge. Our “you-pick” flowers are always a big hit!
We also provide our CSA members with a weekly newsletter that includes seasonal recipes and preparation suggestions as well as farm, field and other CSA news.
In an effort to “simplify our members’ shopping” and ultimately improve access to the many delicious, wholesome and sustainably produced farm goods in Central New York, we are happy to offer, when available, additional items for purchase at CSA pick up, such as milk, yogurt, pasture raised meats, poultry and eggs, honey, maple syrup, and fruits, that are produced regionally by friends and neighbors.
For CSA logistics and sign-up information please refer to CSA FAQ's and Sign-Up in the upper left menu bar.
If you have any further questions regarding the CSA program, we welcome you to call or write.
We are looking forward to the 2013 season, and wish everyone a great winter and spring.
